The library previously advised that the Bodleian Old Quad was closed. This is not the case.The Old Library is unaffected and remains open.The Bodleian Libraries posted on X that it is “working with the emergency services to resolve the situation”.It advised Bodleian readers to make use of alternative reading rooms in other libraries until further notice.”We sincerely apologise for the disruption caused by these events and thank you for your patience,” it said.In an update Bodleian Libraries is asking people to please avoid the area until further notice.Writing on X, they said: “We are working with the University and the emergency services to engage with the occupiers and resolve the situation safely.”Offsite book store deliveries to the Radcliffe Camera have been suspended until further notice.Book orders arriving to the Radcliffe Camera this afternoon (January 24) will be redirected to the Upper Reading Room of the Old Library.Borrowed book returns should be returned to the main enquiry desk in the Lower Reading Room of the Old Library.Oxford University has been contacted.
